Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant 2016-17 and how we allocate the funding.

 

Primary Physical Education & Sport Premium Fund

 

What are we doing? What is the desired impact? Cost? Impact to date

Fitness classes run by Sports Coach on two mornings a week before school for KS1 and KS2.

 

Progressive Sports Coach in school so all year groups get a session of coaching every week.

 

Sports Coach providing after school provision for KS1 and KS2. Sessions covering a variety of different sports including football, handball, athletics, multi- sports, cricket.

For pupils to become steadily more fit and to ‘wake up their minds’ for lessons.

 

High quality sports provision for all pupils.


High quality training for staff. Teachers’ develop their own skills and knowledge in teaching sports.

 

Pupils motivated to do more sporting activities and adopt a healthy lifestyle.


Promoting fun in sports.


Improved skill and ability.

Grant received  for the year 2016-17

Spent on Cost of Coaches for each term

 

 

The pupils attending have enjoyed the activities.


The numbers of pupils taking up this opportunity is increasing over each term.

 

Pupils are enjoying PE sessions.
Teachers’ confidence and skill level has increased.
Attainment in PE has improved.

 

All sessions are full with a waiting list for the Autumn term 2016.
Positive feedback from pupils.

 

Pupils now attending regular inter-school competitions.
