Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the Department for Education to improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged pupils in schools across England.
The funding is allocated based on the number of eligible pupils and enables schools to provide additional support that helps children succeed both in and beyond the classroom. Further details can be found in the Pupil Premium Conditions of Grant (2026 to 2027).
Our Pupil Premium Strategy is designed to:
Raise attainment and accelerate progress
Remove barriers to learning
Promote excellent attendance and engagement
Support pupils' wellbeing and personal development
Provide enriching experiences beyond the classroom
Enable every pupil to achieve their full potential
Our approach is centred on high-quality teaching for all pupils, alongside carefully targeted support where it is needed most. Our strategy is informed by educational research, including evidence published by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), to ensure that funding has the greatest possible impact on pupils' outcomes.
Pupil Premium funding may be used to provide:
High-quality classroom teaching

We regularly review the impact of our Pupil Premium Strategy to ensure that funding is making a measurable difference to pupils' academic achievement, attendance, wellbeing and wider development.
