Step into the Story: Key Stage 1 Storytelling Club!

This half-term, children from Year 1 and Year 2 have been stepping into fantastic new worlds every Monday lunchtime at our brilliant Storytelling Club! It has been a wonderful, cosy space for our young readers to gather, share tales, and spark their creative imaginations together.

Each week, the children dive into a new literary classic before tackling an exciting craft or activity linked to the book. Our young bookworms have already explored a marvellous range of titles this half-term, including the hilarious Stuck by Oliver Jeffers, the heartwarming The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, the vibrant and funny The Day the Crayons Quit by Oliver Jeffers, and the delightful rhyming adventures of Hairy Maclary by Lynley Dodd!

From discussing character choices to getting hands-on with themed activities, the children have shown fantastic enthusiasm and wonderful listening skills. It has truly been a lovely way to build a lifelong love of reading and share the magic of stories as a school family.

A huge thank you to everyone attending for bringing so much joy to our Monday lunchtimes - we can't wait to see which exciting adventures our books take us on next!
