About Us
St. Stephen's is a multicultural one-form entry primary school, Nursery to Year 6, situated in Deptford, within the London Borough of Lewisham. We are a Church of England voluntary aided primary school and are proud of our strong Christian ethos. We aim to prepare and equip children for intellectual, spiritual and social life both in school and in the wider community. Within our ethos, we cultivate a strong sense of 'school family' in which every member of the school community (child, staff, parent, governor, visitor) is valued and respected.
We believe each child should achieve their full potential and offer a broad and balanced inclusive curriculum which enables our children to do this. We are committed to developing the thinking skills and emotional intelligence of our children - as part of this we encourage children to keep a water bottle with them throughout the day. Our curriculum is supplemented by a lively programme of extra¬curricular activities including clubs relating to music, art, dance, drama, ICT, P.E. and sport, healthy living and many others!
